Here we are folks – the video clips for the scoring contest are up!  Our apologies for being a bit behind schedule. But sometimes genius takes extra time…

The video (which is embedded at the end of this post) is made up of two very different 2-minute clips.  There is no audio of any kind on the clips.  The video can be downloaded from Vimeo at  http://vimeo.com/11090782. (The download button is below the video on the right hand side.)

Down there. On the bottom right hand side.

So what are you supposed to do?

  1. Download the video clips (as described above).
  2. Score the video clips. These clips are not from TILT, but they demonstrate the quality and feel of what we have in mind for TILT.  Score freely, create, make whatever music you feel works for these clips. We can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.
  3. When you’re finished, upload the video with your finished music to either Vimeo or YouTube.
  4. Then shoot us an email at tiltthemovie@gmail.com with a link to your submission.
  5. Submissions for this contest will be closed at midnight (12am CST) on Friday, May 14, 2010.

Then what?

  • After we have all of the submissions, we’ll embed them on our site. Friends and fans of TILT will be asked to vote for the music they like the best.  So, it would behoove you to give your friends and family members a heads-up about what you’re doing…every vote counts!  Voting will close at midnight (12am CST) on May 31, 2010.
  • The top 3 submissions, as determined by fan vote, will be evaluated by the TILT team. The winner will be announced on the TILT blog on June 3, 2010.
  • The winner will be offered the opportunity to score our feature-length movie, TILT, scheduled to be filmed in the late summer / early fall of 2010.  A small compensation (yet to be determined) will be offered.

We are REALLY excited to see what everyone will come up with.  Again, if there are any questions, please send us an email or reply to us on twitter. Let the (musical) games begin!
