Word on the Street: TILT Teaser Trailer

Our friends, colleagues, and family members are giving us really positive feedback about our new TILT teaser trailer. It definitely feels good to hear good things about our work, but we decided to secretly film audience member reactions at the trailer at Flyway Film Festival to show you what people REALLY thought. And these faces don’t lie…

Big thanks to our test subjects Bill Elverman, Sheri Candler, Jake Stetler, Gary King, Susie King, everyone else at the Flyway Film Fest Backer Party, and Rick Vaicius & Flyway Film Fest for putting their trust in us and debuting the trailer. What a fun night!

Sunday, September 26th, 3am: TILT production = wrapped
Monday, September 27th, 7am: Phil and Jeremy start transcoding, pro-res-ing, and sound syncing footage
Early Oct, stolen moments: Phil and Jeremy work their trailer magic; rough cut makes Jessica cry…
Friday, Oct 22nd, Sneaky O’Clock: Director Gary King finagles a peek at the TILT teaser trailer. (We’re still trying to figure out if we can bring official charges against him.)
Friday, Oct 22nd, PM: TILT teaser trailer officially unveiled at a special Flyway Film Festival event.
Sunday, Oct 24th, First Thing in the AM: A private link to the trailer is sent to our 223 amazing TILT Kickstarter backers.
Sunday, Oct 24th, 2 seconds after First Thing in the AM: The trailer is leaked to the whole world. Sweet.

The Winner(s) of the T-Shirt Contest

Well, two people guessed right on this one, so we had to go to the hat. However, when picked out of the hat… both names came out. So we’re going to send a One Eyed Pike Beer t-shirt to both of them. And the winners are…. drum roll please…. Sherry “Cosmo” Cummings & Lucas McNelly!! Hooray to them for coming up with the correct answer of 1. I yelled on the set of TILT 1 time. Here is the story…

We were trying to get a fairly complicated steadicam shot. It was fairly complicated, because we don’t really have a steadicam, but were making do with what we had. The shot starts in one room and goes down the hall and into the bedroom to see that someone is in the bathroom with the door closed. So after trying this out a few times we finally got it perfect…. except… now the bathroom door is open. WHY???!!!! The video below is a recreation of the events that then took place between myself and Julie. Congratulations to Sherry and Lucas!!!

P.S. – We got the shot a couple tries later while I was sitting in the time out chair with a mouth full of Lifebuoy soap.

And yes, I assure you this is day 6… no matter what that crazy graphic at the beginning of the video says. On TILT production day 6 we celebrated a birthday – watch, and see whose it was!
